The company Pantera Cor-De-Rosa – Massas Congeladas, located in Póvoa de Lanhoso, celebrated 15 years of activity in the municipality with a visit from municipal officials and partners, focusing on growth prospects and investment.

The Councillor for Economic Development of the Póvoa de Lanhoso Municipal Chamber, Gilberto Anjos, led the visit to the company, accompanied by representatives from IAPMEI (Humberto Vaz) and PIEP – Innovation Centre in Polymer Engineering (Bruno Pereira da Silva), as well as municipal technicians, including António Campos, Head of Strategic Planning and Territorial Development Division, and Sandrina Oliveira, Economic Development Coordinator.
The visit allowed for an understanding of the company's activities and growth prospects, as well as identifying needs for coordination with partner entities to provide solutions in innovation and competitiveness. Gilberto Anjos highlighted the Municipality's intention to act as a facilitator, streamlining responses in areas such as licensing, urban planning, and building implementation, emphasizing that "the business community is the true engine of territorial development".
Established 15 years ago in the municipality, but having started its activity in 1985 in Braga, Pantera Cor-De-Rosa is one of the 21 local companies awarded the PME Líder 2025 status by IAPMEI. Received by administrators Mário and Micael Nogueira, visitors learned about the company's figures, which record an annual turnover exceeding 1.3 million euros and employ 25 people, 18 of whom are assigned to the Póvoa de Lanhoso unit.
The company aims to strengthen its international presence, regularly exporting to France and capturing new markets through investment in modernizing and optimizing equipment to increase production capacity. This investment is intended to consolidate the company's activity and prepare production for new challenges, ensuring product quality.
Mário Nogueira highlighted the importance of regular daytime working hours, reflecting a concern for work-life balance and the role of people in the company's stability and development. He also emphasized the versatility of the teams in responding to operational needs. Environmentally, the company has committed to reducing its ecological footprint.
Humberto Vaz, from IAPMEI, stressed the importance of the PME Líder status and the possibility of evolving to PME Excelência. Bruno Pereira da Silva presented PIEP's expertise in developing and evaluating innovative solutions for materials, including alternatives for packaging, contributing to the company's sustainability goals, and invited them for a visit to the polo's laboratories in Guimarães. The initiative reinforces the Municipality's close support to the business community, promoting partnerships to boost investment, employment, and economic development in Póvoa de Lanhoso.
