At CESAE Digital, Pedro and Joana completed training in web design and multimedia. During the course, they acquired and deepened knowledge in video editing, 2D and 3D animation, digital content creation, website development, and social media management.
Their journeys are highlighted in the new episode of the series Novas Caras Portuguesas, which illustrates the impact of support from the PESSOAS 2030 Programme. This initiative aims to enhance professional qualifications and facilitate re-entry into the job market.
Pedro, who already had IT knowledge and did photography work, expanded his skills to video and content editing. He now films, photographs, and edits his own work, professionally applying the acquired competencies.
Joana, on the other hand, identified with the field from the start of the training, gaining confidence to develop audiovisual projects autonomously. She currently manages social media and has created two websites from scratch for a cosmetics company based in Belgium.
These stories underscore the importance of continuous learning and knowledge updating in an ever-evolving job market increasingly reliant on digital skills.
The Vida Ativa measure, promoted by the Instituto do Emprego e Formação Profissional (IEFP), is aimed at unemployed individuals and is delivered through modular training and competency units. The courses may include practical work-based training, adapting to market profiles and needs.
As of July 31, 2026, PESSOAS 2030 had approved a total eligible investment of 83.8 million euros, with approximately 71.2 million coming from the ESF+. Operations are managed by the IEFP in the Northern, Central, and Alentejo regions.
