On September 29, TENSAI held an open day event to showcase the completion of a project supported by COMPETE 2030. The initiative introduced new automation and digitalization technologies aimed at increasing the company's operational and energy efficiency.
Fravizel, a specialist in the development and manufacturing of hybrid machinery, has successfully reduced the time required to produce chassis for some of its machines, from one week to about six hours. This modernization of the production process was driven by the NewSustainP4.0cess project, also funded by COMPETE 2030.
According to Inês Frazão, marketing manager at Fravizel, the primary goal of this initiative is to "increase process efficiency." The company is already observing concrete results, including improved response capacity and enhanced equipment quality, stemming from the reduced production times.
“"We have achieved higher quality in the product"
Innovation is a hallmark of Fravizel, which holds over 130 patent applications in Portugal and abroad. Inês Frazão emphasizes that the company possesses "technology that is made here and is unique in the world," setting it apart in the market.
The NewSustainP4.0cess project aims not only to consolidate Fravizel's position in current markets but also to create conditions for entering new sectors and developing higher value-added solutions. The ongoing transformation at the company is featured in an edition of PRISMA – Projects That Tell Stories.
