Porto Business School (PBS) has climbed 13 places in the Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking 2026, reaching 82nd globally and consolidating its presence among the world's top 100 for the second consecutive year.

The University of Porto's business school leads Portuguese institutions in career progression, salary increase, and international experience. This advancement aligns with a three-year strategic direction focused on accelerating leaders' careers and building a truly global MBA from Porto.
The 13-place jump in a single year places the Executive MBA in the Top 10 for the largest global increases. Alumni satisfaction improved from 8.48 to 8.89 (out of 10) in the Overall Satisfaction indicator, marking the 7th largest improvement worldwide. In the Career Progress Rank, which measures seniority and organizational scope, the program climbs 27 positions, from 90th to 63rd globally.
In sustainability, Porto Business School ranks 19th globally in the Carbon Footprint Rank, moving up four places. This indicator assesses schools' commitments to reducing their carbon footprint.
Porto Business School is the top Portuguese school for career progression, showing the largest improvement in this metric (27 positions). Three years after completing the program, alumni report an average salary increase of 63%, the highest among Portuguese schools and four percentage points above the previous edition. It is also the only one of the three analyzed Portuguese schools to show positive growth in this indicator. Globally, the 63% salary increase places the program above 61 of the 100 ranked programs.
In international experience, Porto Business School ranks 28th globally and 1st in Portugal for the International Course Experience Rank. It is also the only one of the three Portuguese schools in the Top 100 not based in Lisbon.
José Esteves, Dean of Porto Business School, stated, "These results show we are on the right track: today, we are the Portuguese school where careers advance the most." The program's entry into the ranking in 2025 and its rise to 82nd place reinforce its international trajectory.
Global dimension is built through international experiences, such as the International Weeks in Shanghai, Berlin, or Madrid. In 2026, the school hosts over 900 students, 42% of whom are women, from more than 60 nationalities. This year, the MBA programs welcomed 201 new students, a 36% increase from the previous year.
José Esteves concludes, "The next step is clear: to position Porto among the leading European centers for executive education."
