Wine is one of the Portuguese products with the greatest international projection. Reaching consumers beyond borders increasingly involves the digital world, requiring not only quality but also visibility and the ability to transform that visibility into commercial opportunities.
This is the challenge of the 7th Exportar Online Conference, promoted by AICEP – Portugal Global, Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade, under the motto “Export Online Mission: From Portugal to the World”. The event brings together companies, specialists, and partners to discuss the main challenges and opportunities of global e-commerce.
The program is divided into three main moments: Being Found in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, addressing generative search and large language models (SEO, GEO, LLMO); Social commerce and global live shopping, focusing on the growing role of social media as direct sales channels; and The Future of International E-commerce, with a presentation on the evolution of European markets and the impact of AI, based on the European E-commerce Report 2026.
In the afternoon, one-to-one meetings will be held with international marketplaces and e-commerce platforms to clarify doubts, understand entry conditions, and explore new internationalization pathways.
The online sale of Wine has its own specificities, with each market having its own rules on alcoholic beverages (minimum purchase age, labeling requirements, taxation, and commercial communication restrictions). Understanding the available digital tools and the framework in which they can be used helps producers rigorously communicate the authenticity, origin, and ancestral heritage of Portuguese Designations of Origin and Geographical Indications.
The opening session includes the Secretary of State for Economy and the AICEP Administration. The closing is led by the President of AICEP.
