The PESSOAS 2030 program has launched the PESSOAS-2026-12 Notice, aimed at supporting Professional Courses in public education institutions, with applications open until October 16th.

Public education institutions are eligible to apply for the PESSOAS-2026-12 Notice, which aims to support Professional Courses. The maximum allocation from the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) for this notice is €50 million, representing 85% of the total support. This is supplemented by a 15% national public contribution, bringing the total potentially eligible amount to €58.8 million.
PESSOAS 2030 supports Professional Courses under its investment priority “More and better initial qualification for growth”, promoting access to an inclusive and quality education and training pathway. The final beneficiaries are the trainees attending these courses in public entities. These young individuals undertake their training at school and also in a work context, valuing the development of skills for a profession, considering labor market needs.
The courses allow trainees to obtain a professional certification (ISCED 3) while completing their secondary-level training, with the possibility of continuing studies towards higher education.
Applications for the PESSOAS-2026-12 Notice can be submitted until October 16, 2026, through an electronic form on the Portugal 2030 Portal. It is advised that applicant entities do not leave the submission to the last days, to allow time for resolving any last-minute difficulties.
