All operators in the national oil system are legally obliged to submit a monthly activity record to ENSE's electronic single point of contact. This ensures the monitoring of activities in a sector of great importance to the Portuguese economy.
In fulfillment of its duty to provide public information on the sector, ENSE publishes general sector indicators, while respecting the commercially sensitive information of each operator.
Therefore, for the month of August 2026, and taking into account the records submitted by retail operators to ENSE, the following market shares are presented.
