The BSC AI Factory has launched a call for European Artificial Intelligence (AI) startups to participate in Web Summit 2026, taking place in Lisbon from November 9-12. The application deadline is September 28.

Selected companies will have the opportunity to join the BSC AI Factory Startup Island, a dedicated space within the Partner Startup Island at Web Summit. Here, they can showcase their innovative solutions and establish crucial connections with investors, businesses, and other players in the tech ecosystem.
Participation includes a personalized stand space, a minimum of three Web Summit access passes, and promotion through the BSC AI Factory's promotional channels. The call is aimed at companies based in the European Union, established less than six years ago, with AI as a core component of their business model.
Applicant startups must operate in priority areas defined by the BSC AI Factory, including Health; Agriculture and Climate; Finance and Legal; Public Administration; Communication and Media; and Energy. The initiative aims to connect these emerging companies with the resources and expertise of the European network of AI Factories, enhancing their visibility.
In Portugal, the initiative is supported by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), through the FCCN unit, and the National Center for Advanced Computing (CNCA). The project is also funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
