The award, presented by the ITEA4 cluster of the Eureka Network, recognizes collaboration between companies, SMEs, and academic institutions in developing innovative solutions for Internet of Things (IoT) systems. The project brought together 19 entities from four European countries, including Portuguese participants Cleanwatts Digital and ISEP, who contributed to a common approach aimed at accelerating the development, implementation, and maintenance of IoT systems throughout their lifecycle.
The developed solutions were validated in eight industrial application cases, covering areas such as structural monitoring, energy efficiency, and intelligent energy management.
This distinction highlights national participation in ITEA, a European cluster for software research, development, and innovation, in which Portugal has participated since 2006. To date, 99 Portuguese organizations have participated in 88 ITEA projects, contributing to eight projects recognized with excellence awards.
